How performs F-secure in the malware hub? My license of Sophos is almost expiring and F-secure is a possible replacement for me.

Currently nobody is testing F-Secure in the Hub. Last report is from @harlan4096 from early 2020 v. 17.8

I think the UI is either improving or I'm just getting used to it. It looks more modern than the old UI and they addressed at least some of the wasted space.

Nobody is currently testing F-Secure in the Hub that's correct, but it does actually exist a few recent tests this year 2021 with the latest stable version 17.9 from member @Faybert . I helped and collected those tests in the spoiler.

I tested F-secure safe trial with 207 random samples from the abuse website. It blocked 96.53% (signature based and Deepguard). I also tested 833 phishing site. It blocked 97.58%. So not that bad.

Yeah for an AV that doesn’t have the usual “internet security” suite of modules it does pretty good. It’s really strong against PE malware and its weakness is mainly against scriptors. Seems to be really ineffective against BAT scripts and so so against Powershell or VBS.
I wish they would improve their modules to address script based threats — everything else is really on point.
