I'm new to the malware sector, coming from web application pen-testing role and I've decided to focus some research in this area as I'm currently written a masters dissertation. Basically I was planning to do a comparative analysis on manual signature creation versus automated signature creation.
I've been going through numerous reports and from what I can make out automated signature creation is theoretical, may I ask if there are actual automated malware signature generators in existance.
Any direction would be most appreciated.
