I hate the fact that whenever I download something a huge bar comes in the bottom part of Chrome/Chromium Edge. Until I found this extension called "Always Clear Downloads in Chrome".
Pretty straight forward, just enable "Disable download shelf". It can hide the Download bar but can also clear the download history automatically if u want.
