In previous builds prompting for running browsers only occurred when access to the cookie stores was blocked, this caused some inconsistent behavior over different Windows versions.
From now on it will either scan for cookies when all supported browser processes are terminated, or the cookie scan will be skipped if the user chooses not to close the running browser(s).
We have just made this version Stable and enabled Auto-Update.
Changelog
- Fixed: Detection and removal of cookies on latest Microsoft Edge Browser when process was in --no-startup-window
- Fixed: Detection of suspicious files signed by Microsoft (happened after Windows Updates)
- Fixed: Some FP's on "Backdoor.Behaviour" detections
- Added: Option to exclude the host file for scanning (you can add "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" to the excudelist to ignore detection).
Changelog
Bad extensions are now flagged on a single line, after "Delete" one needs to start the browser once to trigger it to uninstall, extension will be policy blocked from re-install.
- Added: Detection and removal of Chromium based browser PUA extensions
- Added: Show Disk Access Mode in title bar (C=Compatible Disk Mode, CF=Force Compatible Disk Mode)
- Updated: HitmanPro graphics to match Sophos branding
