hey guys, how do I know and check if the monthly malware removal tool released on Windows update has found and removed something?
does any notification appear in case it disinfects?

You can get this info in an online search. MRT comes out quarterly now Still comes out monthly on build 19042.804 here and if it didn't find anything, you're not going to see any report on reboot (when it runs). Results are in C:\Windows\debug. Source

One can run MRT on demand and following that, it will display a result on the UI. Open Start Menu and just type in: mrt and right-click to run as Administrator. MRT scans for some of the worst and nastiest malware you'd never want to see.
