How do you fare Symantec (firewall, ips only ) against Voodooshield Cyberlock and why ( in default mode) based on following criteria :

1. Threat Prevention: Block malicious traffic Including attack shared by @Victor M on WiFi Peer Mode
2. Threat Identification/ Detection: Identify sophisticated attacks, including fileless malware and zero-day exploits
3. Threat investigation and Protection: Response to security incidents/ processes
4. Real-time Monitoring/ filtering: System behaviors and network traffic, URL filtering and Anti-phishing and anti-ransomware capabilities
5. Useful Feature Threat Application analyzer/ Whitelist Cloud that detects malicious behavior, or identifying safe files/ proactively checking ports and capability to blocks/ reverse actions when necessary
6. Application Compatibility and Integration:
7. Ease of configuration and customer support

Would love to know your thoughts

1. Threat Prevention: Both Symantec and Voodooshield Cyberlock provide robust threat prevention. However, Symantec's IPS might have an edge in blocking malicious traffic, including the WiFi Peer Mode attack.
2. Threat Identification/Detection: Symantec, with its advanced threat intelligence network, might perform better in identifying sophisticated attacks including fileless malware and zero-day exploits.
3. Threat Investigation and Protection: Both offer good response to security incidents, but Symantec's experience and larger network might give it an advantage.
4. Real-time Monitoring/filtering: Both offer real-time monitoring and filtering. Symantec might be more comprehensive in URL filtering and anti-phishing capabilities.
5. Useful Feature Threat Application Analyzer/Whitelist Cloud: Voodooshield Cyberlock's Whitelist Cloud is a notable feature, but Symantec's application analyzer is also powerful.
6. Application Compatibility and Integration: Symantec, being a larger and older company, may offer better compatibility and integration with various systems.
7. Ease of Configuration and Customer Support: This can vary based on personal experience, but Symantec generally has a good reputation for customer support.

1. only sep with only the firewall module install could only block the network part and cyberlock will be excellent at blocking any payload (get a full solution or combine a few as layers )
2. Get an XDR solution but you can combine it with cyberlock ( contact cyberlock dev for enterprise solutions and integration)
3. Same as 2
4. Just get a full solution
5.XDR has all the capabilities but cyberlock can be excellent at anything with a payload
6.thats based on an environment but cyberlock can work with every solution I know and the dev can help with any other configuration issues and integration, installing only the modules above of Symantec shouldn't have an issue to integrate with any other solution and there is a rest API you can integrate into an edr , xdr
7. Broadcom has sometimes good and sometimes awful support , cyberlock haven't really heard any complaints

Why the hell you compare only firewall , IPS modules of an endpoint product to cyberlock and worse require enterprise level detection and response, support seriously get a whole solution from whatever Symantec or other company
The only reason I use only the firewall and IPS modules is because I don't use it as my main solution rather as extra layers
Btw I'm certain you could integrate cyberlock with any solution you want but just make sure you have all the layers needed no matter if it's a single solution or a combination
Btw an an environment you require get a physical enterprise firewall as well (if you're a home user there is excellent ones like sophos for free , open source ones free as well )

this whole comparison is ridiculous if you're a home user you can just install both cyberlock , these modules of Symantec and have excellent defense for a home environment with excellent performance and if you have a small business, enterprise please get something to fit the requirements for that goal

Thank you @Vitali Ortzi for your response. Yes, I'm a home-user and not an expert 😅in security issues, as many of the knowledgeable MT Community members are. I wanted to know why and which product the members with more than a decade of underlying perspectives prefer based on experience and usage without compromising common man's expectations. That's the reason I opted for a question and not a poll. I hope this isn't an unfair comparison, or if you could suggest enhancing the question/ adding names of compared products in a way that seems more reasonable and logical to most, I would appreciate your suggestion.
