UPDATE:

I returned to Firefox after testing Brave and Vivaldi because I think I'm used to the way it works, and I love its awesome bar more than any other browser. I changed its about:config, and it's now more convenient for me, and I think I'll get used to the slowdowns on YouTube, GitHub, and Reddit. Other websites are operating without any problems.

I don't know. I just uninstalled it today.
Even if it gets reinstalled it can easily be removed from list of installed applications. Just another check for me to perform after each update.

I previously tried to remove Microsoft Edge, but upon checking with WizTree, I found its file size remained unchanged. After reinstalling it, I discovered my entire profile was intact, including passwords, history, settings, and my signed-in account. This confirms that the uninstallation process merely hides the application rather than deleting it.

Additionally, there is the issue of Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is required for Edge to function and is essential for many Windows 11 features like Widgets and Start menu search. Even third-party applications, such as the new CCleaner, now depend on WebView2. It is frustrating how deeply Windows has become integrated with Edge.

I have uninstalled Edge and webview2 after being available through settings (not by a third party app).
After uninstall, they do not come back.
Yes, you need to manually delete their remaining folders on C drive and their registry entries to remove the leftover services and scheduled tasks.

I'm slowly moving to the other side of the fence lately and embracing chrome for my Windows on ARM devices. I got limited RAM on those devices and those are not upgradeable so Edge is perfect for it.

For the rest of my devices, Firefox and Chrome are my choice.

Uninstalled Edge(s) won't come back. However, WebView2 is used for some things (such as widgets and troubleshooter) in Windows so you'll might have to reinstall it.

I been known to be a bit enthusiastic on browsers.... and yet again doing tests on some new browsers, also old and tried several in the Virtual Environment, and out of the box (just installing) I got some good results, used "cover your tracks" sites ''Protection against Web tracking.''

I also just browsed around, to see how it goes.

These 3 are top, had the most impressive speed, ease of use and security,

1. BRAVE - 100% A+ * (Well this is a dream browser isn't it? Already installed)

1. HELIUM - 100% A+ (Wow, welcome... you got HELIUM, Imagine Brave and even faster and lighter, No password manager, perfect minimal choice)

2. MULLVAD - 95% A (Nice, and safe... good for privacy!)

3. FIREFOX - 90% A (Already installed) It might be 100% depends on security if out of the box, if an anonymous fingerprint is assigned fake or not, not sure? but it does eat RAM pretty good but, the best browser you can use!)

4. DUCK DUCK GO 80% B+ (This seems really good, I never used before)

5. ULAA - 80% B (Interesting, seems fine overall)

6. ZEN - 75% B (If you like much customizations, and a good secure browser)

7. EPIC - 75% B- (Not bad, it's private like it states)

An interesting fact the CCleaner Browser, AVG, Avira are the EXACT same browser. Decent but the usual Chromium style.

OPERA - 50% C (Already Installed) It looks good, but it needs a good extension like ublocks filter, I do miss the old OPERA with Presto engine.

CENT BROWSER - This was fun to test, it is FAST like older Chrome vibe. One of the favorites I tested, but is it updated enough these days to use?)
no exact grade, the security test was "very average" (adding ublockOrigin) helped 100% though.

Some browsers didn't work at all, and some just didn't impress
HOLA, GHOST, FALKON, BRISK BARD, BASILISK

So many browsers so little time.

5. ULAA - 80% B (Interesting, seems fine overall)

Tried ULAA twice.
One time its install process and files were blocked by Kaspersky free with revertion.
The second time it was allowed by MD but after launching the browser with an empty tab, I have got a constant CPU activity of 5-9%; I do not know if it was a bug or the browser might harbor a cryptominer.

Yes, as in this case, F-Secure uses that for opening the manual from the ? Settings page.

On PC, just two—Firefox (primary) and Brave (secondary). And that's all you need really. No point in having multiple browsers of a same engine installed as they all render websites equally.

Phone, on the other hand, I just use Brave as Firefox is horrible. Chromium browsers on Android practically do not have alternative.

I use Vivaldi for my study and research. Waterfox for forums. Helium as a daily browser.

I always end up running the wrong profile and it gets messy. I also like to slice the cake and give each company a slice
