Advice Request How to disable Windows 10's News and Interests taskbar newsfeed

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
@Freud2004 After Windows update did its thing today, I finally got News and Interests language. It works in Portuguese, with news from Portugal.

When you click something, it opens in Edge. Is there a way to make it open in the default browser?

Link: EdgeDeflector

The process requires you to download a third-party application named EdgeDeflector, a pretty self-explanatory name in the context of things. EdgeDeflector is an open-sourced application that enables links to open up in the user’s browser of choice, thus overwriting the program’s setting of using Microsoft Edge for the purpose.

Today i was surprised to see the News stuff in my taskbar/ superbar as i doesn't change my group policy with disabled Cortana.
As "News" isn't compatible with own feeds, i disable it.
Weather is already pinned at my start menu, so i don't need it twice.
