now what you think about free product off bitdefender,,, there is bit defender antivirus free edition
No, @yigido is right:
Also it has auto-quarantine, no on-demand scan, and there is no tweaking. Just try Avast, Avira, or Qihoo (My Favorite Freebies) or ESET (My favorite paid).
False positive I think.

And what if she isn't infected?
He/She could just check. @jen900, download Farbar Scan Recovery Tool and follow directions here.

Those folks from ESET actually use MSE + Custom Windows Firewall software. Isn't that good enough? MSE + Windows firewall + knowledge = Good, light, protective config. Even I use a light config, considering I can remove malware on my own.

- Falsepositives
- Bugs
- Awful support
- Slowing down system
- Slowing down İnternet
- etc

I still donot understand how they can get higher results on AV-C and AV-Test. People saw them and bought this products. They also want so much money for very little things! See : http://www.bitdefender.com/tech-assist/

Come on! Call them

In addition to yigido,

For BD support you can try:

http://www.bitdefender.com/support/contact-us.html

or via email:

bdsupport@bitdefender.com

or you can get their support tool generator (if you fancy it)

[how to GENERATE A STANDALONE SUPPORT TOOL LOG]

. Save the Bitdefender_Supporttool tool to a location of your choice:

http://bitdefender.com/diagnostic

. Double-click on the The_New_Bitdefender_SPT.exe file (if you are using Vista or Windows 7, right-click on the The_New_Bitdefender_SPT.exe application file and select "Run as Administrator");
. Fill in the required information and press the "Next" button (make sure you use a valid email address and include a detailed description of the issue you are encountering);
NOTE! If you want to reproduce the issue and enable additional logging you will have to restart the computer and then use the Support Tool again after reproducing the issue to complete the data gathering;
. A file will be created on your desktop (BDSP_*)...

Let us know if they will help you out. :)

Apart from Bitdefender,

Post edited by Moderator, please do not post links for illegal stuff, cracks, keygens and activators.

If you still have the sample you can also submit it to ThreatExpert.com
http://www.threatexpert.com/submit.aspx

Or as mentioned to Eset,

How do I submit a virus, website or potential false positive sample to the ESET lab?
