My Setup 2021.

I was hacked last week due to me downloading a file and then disabling my AV to run it, did a clean install from a USB and now this is my current Security Config.

I think we need to take measures regarding backup as soon as possible.
It is important to build an environment that not only protects against threats with AV, but also anticipates recovery after infection.

In Personal Files & Photos backup: you should use an external device to save Your data, also You may use cloud services.

In Device recovery & backup: You may also use a full image system back solution: Macrium Reflect Free or AOEMEI BackUpper .

A PassWord Manager would be also welcome.

Changes:

1. Added AndyFul Simple Windows Hardening.
2. Use of External HDD for backup. (Rare as no media on here and not many personal files)

A periodic cloned image of your current O/S just makes things so much easier in getting back to normal if something goes south, even if it's not due to malware. In fact, my image backup/recovery program has bailed me out far more often due to something breaking, usually because of my own experimentation, rather than from a malware infection.
