Kali purple is awesome for what it is. Its a mix of red and blue team tools, although its limited tool wise compared to the original Kali.

I found one can just make their own "purple" with Kali original by adding the necessary tools to defend it with. Such as Suricata IDS/IPS and Anonsurf "TOR/PIA DNS". Learning to lock down IP table rules, ect. Ive done this on a chromebook, in KVM within restrictions so i know its very possible on a regular linux distribution.
