And IMO, it sounds like it would be a headache to try to keep Kaspersky updating, running properly and consistently, using a VPN or the other work arounds. To much hand holding, I personally, would be moving on to something else

Maybe, but we're talking about a security software, our online personal device security. I'm just not up for trying to make something work in that regard.

I installed Avast before a week and forget it, I just noticed today by seeing its tray icon, I didn't feel that it exist, no slowdown, no popups, no false positive, no fan sound, it is the perfect replacement to Kaspersky in my opinion.

many of my friends went to eset and Bitdefender. most of them say they are really satisfied with the eset. seems the perfect replacement for them. light no bloatware good protection good offline protection near zero false positives etc. it seems their experience matches what we got in our evaluation of suits for some of our offices and employees households

we tested avast, was not satisfied.

What were the problems with Avast, I'm using it for a week now and didn't notice anything bad yet.
