Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Interface -> Notifications -> Settings -> Schedule Tasks -> Update -> there You have all the tasks, just tick the updating completed successfully -> Notify on screen

You mean under Critical - Update completed successfully, update distribution failed?

And is it safe to disable "Enable dump writing" under Advanced Settings?

1.- Update distribution completed successfully.

2.- It depends on You, if You want or not to send generated dumps by KES to Kaspersky when there is an issue/problem... I have it enabled, this can help to fix issues since the dumps are sent to KL to be analysed.

1.- Update distribution completed successfully.
There is "Update completed successfully, update distribution failed" under Critical And "Update distribution completed successfully" under Informational, which one you mean?
I have enabled Informational one & dont get update notification.

Is there a "Private KSN" for Enterprises? What is it?

I mean the second, not the critical one...

Where did You read about "Private KSN" for Enterprises?

Updated: Kaspersky Private Security Network | Kaspersky Lab

I guess special payment services for companies ;)
Ok, you found KPSN.
I saw the mention in help files.
Attached screenshot

By the way I have already tried Update distribution completed successfully option but I dont get the notification.

Hum I guess maybe it will work only if Your KES is managed by KSN10, but not sure...
I tried "No available updates" under Informational & worked fine i.e checked for updates & no updates were there & got the notification No available updates.
Dont know why notification is not working for updated successfully?

By the way, do you use KES default automatic update option or scheduled one i.e minutes, hours, etc?
I noticed that default automatic updates sometimes take time i.e databases updated & the next database/update is sometimes updated after many hours like 4-6 or more.
So I am testing hours i.e every hours & works fine i.e its been 3 hours & as per reports it updated 3 times And those are not just check for updates but updates were there & updated.

This is the maximum I've gotten in my W10 Pro x86:

Also I guess KES10 still does not have complete integration in new W10 Notification Centre system, as KTS/KAV/KIS2016 have... but Yes, I couldn't get notification for successful updates...

Yes, other notifications for updates like file downloading, updating, etc... are working fine but updated successfully notification is not working. Anyway a minor issue.

Hum I'm thinking that probably "Update distribution completed successfully" is not what We mean... because "distribution" is not "updates"...
I too think so.

Currently trying CCAV under Rollback Rx snapshots so for the time being KES uninstalled.

Under Notifications there is Security Audit i.e top option on the left side, right?
Under Security Audit there is "Task Started" & "Task Completed". This works as an alternative. You can select any/both & get notifications for any/all tasks.

Harlan,

I am little puzzled with KES install.

I tried 3 times & the results were same.

I have latest KES installer downloaded from official website. After install app 100 MB signs are downloaded. This is fine.

I am puzzled with the installation. During install I dont see it downloads anything but after install when I check my data plan, app 300 MB is reduced. I tried 3 times & results were same.
Dont know if it downloads anything?

Any info on this?

Hum I have no idea, I have KES in my laptop but always installed with Wi-Fi or Wired connection at home, but never with Mobile Data plans...

I guess during install something is downloaded, maybe some module installed online, don't know...

Ok.

But I meant my WiFi/Wired. My ISP has an account page & I can check the usage on the page.

Hum ok, anyway I'm sure and guess most of offline installers at some point call home to make some checkings :)
I asked coz there is no new version i.e I have the latest installer And initial updates are downloaded after install So was thinking why/how 300 MB is used or getting reduced as per my internet usage account?

I haven't tried installing KES offline.
KES online install i.e net connected - after install my net account shows app 300 MB used. And after install KES downloads app 100 MB databases.
KES offline install i.e net disconnected - There will be no chance for the installer to download anything, if it downloads anything. After install I will connect to net & check the updates to see the total MB updates needed.

I even can't guess what those 300MB are... I think I can't help You in this matter, maybe You should ask to Kaspersky Support, but I guess They won't say much info about it ;)

If I install KES offline i.e net disconnected & after install if the initial update shows 100 MB databases only then what those 300 MB were with online i.e net connected KES install?
But if after offline KES install, the initial update shows app 400 MB then we get to know there are 300 MB updates that KES needs to download/install.

May be will give a try to offline install & see.
