Advice Request Laptop OEM Drivers

What is the best way to install Laptop drivers after clean windows installation?
Nowadays windows install all drivers automatically during or right after the windows installation or first boot up (when laptop/pc is connected to internet).
So there is two ways to install OEM drivers and I want to make sure which one is the best.

1. Disconnect internet connection before windows setup to prevent automatic driver installation by windows.
So after the first boot up there will be no drivers and I can manually install OEM drivers from USB. After that connect to the internet and update rest of the drivers through windows update.

2. Install windows with internet connection, after the first boot up let windows do the work (let windows install all drivers and updates) and after that download all OEM drivers and install them on top of already installed drivers.

If you directly download the latest OEM drivers from the manufactures' sites there's a risk that the drivers have not been properly tested by the laptop manufacturer and MS.

It's best to wait for download from MS. In certain cases the laptop manufacturer will have its own download center software to download. Check if the latest download is avaialble and download from there.

Safer these ways.

Regardless of the order, Microsoft will push the driver at some point as needed. I recently experienced that with an AMD driver. It seems that such updates are released in the context of managing drivers.

So you suggest install drivers as following: Clean windows installation > let windows download drivers (also windows update) > download and install laptop manufacturer drivers.
Isn't there any issues to install laptop manufacturer drivers on top of drivers that was downloaded by windows?

That's not what I meant

If you get it from Windows likely the driver has been tested by MS. If you get any latest version directly from the manufacturer then likely the driver has not been tested (or fully tested) by MS. You take the risk of compatibility issue with the latter.

It's a clusterfudge. Even when you do install newer drivers (both from Windows update or Laptop manufacturers site) sometimes Windows keeps using older driver even though newer driver is in the Windows driver store.
