LibreWolf processes are fully signed by owner/developer ? (I meant like Firefox processes signed by Mozilla)
No idea. LibreWolf is still experimental builds and for Windows I think the developer is below. I doubt any release is signed since it's still experimental. Give them some time since LW for Windows just started.

Good news from the above is that LW 86 will be out soon.

If compared to Ungoogled Chromium (by Eloston) there are different contributors there but their UC are committed by Eloston himself before releasing. Well, UC has come a long way.

What is LibreWolf?

Some answers to LibreWolf can be found here

Are you on linux or windows? They were automatically adjusted. Because screen size is low (15 inch Laptop) and both windows were opened side by side.

Don't know about processes but installer isn't signed.
I'm on Windows and my laptop is 17 inch connected to a 49-in external monitor running 4 screens side-by-side the wordings on the left side still show up

Will you check it out? If so, please keep us updated how it works for you. :)
LW is more for users who do not know which preference needs to be enabled/disabled in the about:config

However, if you need to change the preferences you'll need to

Quote

Settings protection: important settings are enforced/locked within librewolf.cfg and policies.json, those settings cannot be changed by addons/updates/LibreWolf itself or unwanted/accidental manipulation; To change those settings you can easily do it by editing librewolf.cfg and policies.json.

Unquote

Which defeats its purpose of a "hardened FF" at the expense of convenience. If you need the latter then you get FF instead. For example, you can't set 'Standard' or 'Strict' in 'Privacy & Security'. You need to change a setting in its preferences to do that

Thanks for the summary. At least a version of Firefox that comes with better privacy/security settings by default.

Why would they turn off the blocking of tracking content by default?

I believe they call back to Mozilla as telemetry

IJWY (I Just Want You To Shut Up): embedded server links and other calling home functions are removed. In other words, zero unauthorized or background connections by default.

FI, cookie-controlled extensions don't work like Cookie AutoDelete, Foregt Me Not, FF Multi-Account Containers etc. after you exit the browser. Changing the cookie settings in the GUI won't work either.

To save cookies you need to change the below preference settings

I just copied the contents of the Firefox profiles from Appdata local and roaming to LibreWolf, and the browser worked correctly, but I didn't check to see if Multi-Account Containers and Cookie AutoDelete worked.

I made a few adjustments in about:config and had to edit the cfg to activate some settings.

I could not make the Worldwide Radio addon work. I think it has to do with an entry in about:config, but I don't know which one.

I wonder how to get it in Swedish?
I tried to change language by adding Swedish, nothing happened.

After changing from Engish to Swedish in DDG webpage language settings (top left) I still need to change the country to Sverige (Sweden) in the search page of the browser (bottom left)

If I want to search for 'Gizmodo' in DDG browser I type 'Gizmodo Sweden'. The search results will display in a mixture of English and Swedish (bottom).............but still no Gizmodo in Swedish. This is as far as I can get when switched to Swedish.

I believe if the website don't have Swedish then it'll just show in its native language. In my case it's English. Some websites do have a language selection feature and you can select the language you desired and the website will change accordingly

I can get it working just by adding the addon. I believe not all stations will work 24/7

FYI, if you keep on tingling with the settings then you defeat its purpose of a 'hardened FF'. It's better to use FF then for flexibility, convenience and with the hardening you want.

I can't figure it out because it works in Firefox but in LibreWolf. The only entry I could think about is

media.autoplay.enabled

which is mentioned in the addon description, but I don't think it exists anymore in Firefox.

I'll try a clean install of LibreWolf and see what happens.

Finally, I had to change the ff. settings:

browser.sessionstore.interval - unlocked and increased to 300000 because I'm using an SSD

reader.parse-on-load.enabled - unlocked and set to false because I don't use the reader mode but mapped F9 to close tabs using the Shortkeys addon

security.cert_pinning.enforcement_level - unlocked and set to 1 because it was the only way I could get Adguard desktop to work

dom.event.contextmenu.enabled - set to true because when I right-clicked to use an addon like Snap Links to open several links the context menu would pop up, too

privacy.ResistFingerprinting - set to false because I got used to a specific window size and position for the browser

LW v87.0-3 released. Get it from below

Changelog

  • This is release is a new attempt to introduce the -experimental build which has an experimental librewolf.cfg and policies.json.
  • The main new thing in this -experimental is that cookie autoclean at program exit now obeys the exceptions given in (Settings > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Exceptions)
  • You can see the differences between -main and -experimental here.

Just tried the v87.0-3 experimental build and now I can access MT and WSF forums without signing in even after exiting the browser for the cookies are now saved => Settings > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Exceptions

Previously, I'll need to sign in every time when visiting MT and WSF after exiting the browser

It also installed the Decentraleyes extension and if you are using LocalCDN extension you can delete the former
