It requires an opinion poll - which here would never be reliable as it would be a popularity poll. Popularity is proven not to equate to positively correlate with product traits claimed to be superior, more effective, easier to use, and so on.This could prove interesting, however not sure how you can quantify user friendliness as it would vary from user to user dependent on their experience using tools like these. So Shadowra's opinion on this would be just that, one persons opinion, whereas effectiveness can be shown using different types of tests. In any case I would look forward to his results.
So someone would have to go to a group of people who know nothing about any of this, give them the products, let them use ("test") it, and then get their "Pepsi Challenge" opinions. If anyone recalls, that kind of testing and the marketing claims that came out of it, resulted in Pepsi paying millions of USD to the government and other parties. However, the 100% effective mitigation is to get a double blind test that uses hoomans clueless about much of anything beyond a banana for both the control and test groups.
Although, none of that is intended to diminish the validity of @Divergent 's points.
