Make your video test requests!

This could prove interesting, however not sure how you can quantify user friendliness as it would vary from user to user dependent on their experience using tools like these. So Shadowra's opinion on this would be just that, one persons opinion, whereas effectiveness can be shown using different types of tests. In any case I would look forward to his results.
It requires an opinion poll - which here would never be reliable as it would be a popularity poll. Popularity is proven not to equate to positively correlate with product traits claimed to be superior, more effective, easier to use, and so on.

So someone would have to go to a group of people who know nothing about any of this, give them the products, let them use ("test") it, and then get their "Pepsi Challenge" opinions. If anyone recalls, that kind of testing and the marketing claims that came out of it, resulted in Pepsi paying millions of USD to the government and other parties. However, the 100% effective mitigation is to get a double blind test that uses hoomans clueless about much of anything beyond a banana for both the control and test groups.

Although, none of that is intended to diminish the validity of @Divergent 's points.

It should be noted that all tests performed here represent the personal opinions of the tester. Given the inherent risks associated with real-world testing, a method most reviewers avoid, these results are subjective. The goal of this comparison is to determine suitability, is this product best for the average user, the advanced enthusiasts here at MT, or is it geared more toward server administrators?
To protect all of us from this hooman software tester bias, there are now AI software testing platforms and tools.

@Divergent provide the fallacies of this marketing. I will start with one - "Who wrote the code and reviewed it to eliminate 100% of any form of bias?" The answer: Nobody. You can take it further down that rabbit hole as you wish.

We now have many posts about how usability tests cannot be done.
I hope that @Shadowra will not take those posts as dedicating to what should be done or not.
So many demands ... :)
The test is simple, you complicated it.

I just hope all the developers of all the other products he tests do not start coming in this thread and dictating to him how to test their products. I would certainly feel for him then. It would take biased to a whole new level.

Usability is subjective to the extent that any test that would definitively, irrefutably, and legally meet the objectivity requirements is not possible.

What is more usable?

1. Executing the command in the cmd console "net user"; or
2. Firing up some tool that automatically runs the command and displays the output for the user?

Let's back up one step, first.

What is the definition of "usable" that should be applied to any particular product test?

#PepsiChallenge

@Divergent is not trying to mess with your Zen.

Watch the movie "The Great Dictator" with Charlie Chaplin as the lead character.

So many software.

So many people who want @Shadowra to do for them what they are not willing to do for themselves.

Hello,

Sorry for my absence: I've had some personal issues and a dental infection (an abscess... even though I still have it, I'm on antibiotics).
But I haven't been twiddling my thumbs because I've made five videos!
The first one should be out tomorrow or Tuesday, followed by the others until March 17, the day I go on a little vacation.

I won't spoil the names of the antivirus programs: they'll be a surprise 😉

This looks interesting as it's based on Antiy which is only available in Chinese, but this gives you the option to install it in English. However I've tried three beta versions, including the most recent one, in the last few weeks on two different computers and when I open it, I only see icons and no text - even after changing the language to Chinese. Also, when I get alerts, they are in Chinese. I just uninstalled and reinstalled it. This time I selected Chinese as the language when installing it, rather than changing it in the settings after install it and still the UI has no text. It's a shame as I really wanted to try this. One thing to note, is that according to Chinese security forum Kafan, at the moment it doesn't support Windows 11.

Anity which I have tested, is good at detecting older malware, but I have no idea how it fares against recent malware.

This is the latest official release from Antiy, not the version from our previous partner.

Hello :)

A little idea I had this morning...
A lot of people watch my videos, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Seeing that you like it motivates me to continue making them.

You should know that I spend about 2 to 3 hours per video, in preparation, sampling, testing, editing and uploading! 😁
But, it can happen that I frustrate some members, because their requests they made to me, I can't find them anymore.....
It's not my fault unfortunately, hence this topic.

So, throw the Antivirus or Duo you want to see!

Note: You must indicate the name of the antivirus, its version, and if I have to configure it. Without precision, it will be tested with the default settings.
Also read what I plan to test, which avoids proposing for nothing.
So, ready? Submit! 😉😉

What I have planned:

- Microsoft Windows Defender
- LMT AntiMalware
- Norton 360
- Avira Free
Would it be possible to test Heimdall.
