All I can say quickly is that I have a well-known antivirus program that I really like, with modified settings, a carefully customized Windows, and I make system backups very regularly :)
My VMs are not on my main Internet network but on another connection. I use a 5G router with a SIM card and a specific plan (a 5G plan with 200GB of data that I pay between €10 and €15/month for, which I cancel to change the number). This router is connected to a small VPN that I created on a VPS server hosted in France (I currently have 6 IP addresses reserved on the block that I paid for).

And to do this, I have two network cards on my machine with fairly specific and compartmentalized configurations ;)

Can you tell me which AV you use? Is it free or paid?

If @Shadowra adopts https://www.atomicredteam.io/ testing, very soon we will see how each AV fares against specific Mitre Attack attack technique numbers. MITRE ATT&CK® is a taxonomy of malware and hacker attack techniques. It is divided into phases of attack progress: from reconnaissance, to execution to persistence to privilege escalation to exfiltration and so on. Each attack phase has a large group of techniques.

I installed it on a VM, and not only can I not remove threats, it also detects legitimate software! (7-Zip, Office DLLs, Windows files, etc.)
Very dangerous, bordering on FakeAV...

IMO, if we're going to come down to this, where we would want Shadowra to do individual requests for our personal, custom configurations, is when he needs to set up a PayPal account and where we would need to pay him $$ for his time and effort in providing a personal service like that. I would also hope that it would be in the form of an assessment, and not a full blown posted video? But again, that could just be me :)

Agree, Shadowra has been very gracious with his time but no one should expect him to do multiple tests to test an obscure AV that one person here uses or to retest an AV a dozen times, the guy has a life too, geez.

You guys have a point, I mean the request is kind of out there, reminds me of calling room service at a 5-star hotel, and asking room service to count the ice cubes in your drink, and the croutons in your Ceaser salad. But I guess if Shadowra charged enough money it might be worth his time.

That’s actually a great idea. In this way, we can reward Shadowra with a small fee for the help and assessment he would offer to us. His tests are a great way to test the real world performance and protection of an AV suite.
