Have there been some changes to the forum? I'm seeing "cards" or menus like on the homepage on every page on the right side now. How to remove or customize it? I couldn't find a setting in the preferences, etc.

and pages keep autorefreshing continously.

@Jack with the default theme, i found this morning I could not reply to DMs. Also the 3 dot menu that used to be in the top right hand corner on the main page that allowed users to view who was online and profile posts ECT is missing from both the default and geometric. This is on mobile btw. I had to switch to geometric to respond to personal messages this morning.

Just wondering why the guest count keeps going up when I refresh the page. Normal is ~900 - 1600+, but today it was showing 43,500 and has gone up to 57,500+?

Maybe it's just a busy new year, and everyone is checking in

Hmm... I think it was around the same time that I started seeing problems with reacting to posts, i.e., hitting Like took a long time to complete, and sometimes there were latencies when loading posts. Now I know what to look for.

And sometimes, there is no Like option at all to a random post, after it's been posted. I have to wait about 5 - 10 minutes and refresh the page for it to appear

But I also had intermittent problems throughout the day even when the numbers were "low" (less than 1,500). So, I still don't know what the problems relate to, although I'm quite suspicious of Cloudflare or its configurations.

Not sure what you have to gain from DDoS'n a low traffic security forum, they are not going to pay a ransom.

Has this bot traffic been just been a recent event here? Someone's taken a interest in this forum and our posts, nation state or criminal or web scrapers ?

Brave's LLM definitely has been using the answers from MT posts, although I am not sure how far back. Some posts have been cited as "expert" answers. Just like Wikipedia, when it's important, better verify the sources too, when they are available.

My coffee keeps going cold when I'm browsing the MT site, I'm not sure if its because its cooler in here or an inherent issue with the forum, in any case its just an observation ??
