I ended my trial period by snatching up an unbeatable deal on a full license. You could easily spend more on a single run to Starbucks.

McAfee will be running comfortably on my end for the foreseeable future.

Okay. So it's installed on the laptop.

The licence I got from Eneba ended up being 10 devices for 15 months at £4.71, bonus!

Seems okay. Will see how often the popups appear telling me about extra features, that'll become annoying, quickly!

Full scan on the go. Quick scan was done in a few minutes.

Web advisor extension installed. I'd be hard pushed to say if there's any difference in browsing speed between it and Kaspersky, there probably is, but without properly testing that somehow, it'd be hard to say.

The laptop is rarely used tbh, odd but if browsing and mainly games on steam.

Disable the extension
Visit: Feature Settings Check - Phishing Page Test - AMTSO
Launch the test; if detected, then there is no need for the extension; if not, you have to use the extension.

at initial run of firefox I declined to install the McAfee ext and now I cannot get it to install into firefox. I think the solution is to reinstall firefox. (fwiw)

maybe, but no indication that McAfee is not working properly in the VM, eg, Edge seems fine with the McAfee extension. IMO easier to remove & reinstall firefox than any AV.

You're first full scan will take awhile but after that it should be faster as McAfee gathers safe files.

Those popups are starting to irritate me already. I know the scam detector service is there and not enabled, I don't want to enable it! Stop asking me

no -- I got popup windows in the lower right of desktop, but they stopped after a day or 2...

For me, all features were setup even before I install McAfee so there were no popups.

Yep. That's what I'm getting too. Bottom right hand corner, they seem to be in within the app. If I minimise the app, they minimise too
