I looked at the test and the comments and couldn't resist buying a license for three computers for one year. And I have to say, I really like it. It doesn't slow down the computer. McAfee has become very good.

Absolutely. Since I bought it, I haven't encountered any problems and it works reliably. I accept Shadowra's tests, I consider them credible, and based on them, I consider it to be strong protection. Plus, Trident has also tested it and their results confirm this.

One more question. Does McAfee support Brave browser? I am asking this because there are some AVs which don't. For example AVG (based on customer support).

In general settings there is a setting that says “wait till my PC is idle to start scheduled tasks”, maybe try unticking that?

Not out of the box per se. However, if you have the extension's URL, you can install it :)

As far as I know, the web protection works only through the browser plugin. When the plugin is not installed, phishing URLs and similar threats will not be blocked.
Fun fact: when I tested it, it also worked in incognito mode, even though the plugin itself was "not allowed in incognito." Therefore, I believe it somehow binds to the browser process itself.

I feel like the US goverment gave mcafee some funds to be the next best great antivirus like kaspersky. The US had to intimidate Russia by saying we will ban your software and make our neighboring provider stronger and better hahahahahah. Boom now mcafee is like the top AV lol.
