I have this combination on a computer at home, does having Hitman Pro Alert, cover what Hard Configurator will do, instead of?
It will not. The main difference is that HMPA does not block/restrict scripting and does not block access to CmdLine.

H_C is much more preventive and tries to block from the beginning anything that is not necessary. So in most cases, the malicious processes are not executed at all.
Most of the HMPA protection is focused on mitigating the already executed processes.

HMPA has got a real-time module to detect the prevalent malware and an advanced anti-exploit module. So, it works similarly to Defender (with some ConfigureDefender settings) + Exploit Protection + Web Browser hardening. The anti-exploit module is easier to use compared to Windows built-in Exploit Protection. The anti-ransomware module of HMPA is more advanced. HMPA covers also several methods of keylogging (not covered by Windows built-in features).

Here is an example adequate for our COVID times.

Defender + H_C
No contact with unknown pathogens = you are safe.
  1. Defender with some ConfigureDefender settings = your healthy immune system
  2. Forced SmartScreen = you keep in contact only with people vaccinated against pathogens (including COVID-19).
  3. Other H_C settings = you live in the country, avoid meeting new people, and keep strong anti-pathogen prophylactic (face masks, washing hands, avoid crowded places, etc.).
  4. In the worst scenario (very improbable), you can rely on very good hospitalization depending on your health insurance = level of the H_C restrictions, ConfigureDefender settings, and FirewallHardening rules.

Defender + HMPA
Usual contact with pathogens, but very strong immune system and certainty of high-standard treatment.
  1. You have two similar (but not the same) immune systems = real-time antimalware protection of Defender and HMPA.
  2. Your immune system has an additional very effective response against many uncommon pathogens (HMPA anti-exploit).
  3. You can keep in contact with most people, due to points 1 and 2.
  4. You can be a carrier of several diseases without a visible impact on your health (antilogging features of HMPA).
  5. If worse comes to worst you can rely on the high-standard hospitalization and newest treatment methods (anti-ransomware HMPA features).
