A capable Chromium browser runs incredibly well today with sufficient hardware specs. Mozilla may have a good heart and live for a worthy cause, but Google's development has a whole lot of momentum and talent behind the cutting-edge work.Speaking of which, I just started using Brave today, so far so good. Brave has to make crypto, vpn, and rewards components optional during install process. Is Brave still doing the Crypto gimmick? I have been using Chrome for the past 3 or 4 months but I might check out Brave if there is no Crypto element to it now. Or if it can be turned off and Brave respects the setting.
C.H.
Brave needs those things for revenue so that won't happen.Brave has to make crypto, vpn, and rewards components optional during install process.
I still use Edge, not scared by the scareware.
Frankly, I'm tired of the constant intrusions after updates. Just recently, I signed into the Feedback Hub to report a blocked file re: SAC and, unbeknownst to me, I got signed into Edge and it replaced my bookmarks with bookmarks from Edge in my Administrator Account. This is just the latest insult.Microsoft Edge has been working fine for me.
After playing with most of the available browsers (even the rarely used ones such Ulaa and Ecosia), I have found that no browser is flawless; however, Edge and Chrome experience is the least painful.Brave needs those things for revenue so that won't happen.
Microsoft Edge has been working fine for me. I haven't seen the, set Bing as search engine popup in a long time. I really like its Enhance Videos feature. No other Chromium browser has anything like this except Opera but not as good.
I don't delete my browser cookies regularly but failing to manually delete cookies is an issue that should've been fixed by now. The Cookie Auto Delete extension is going to be updated with MV3 compatibility. I will see if it can delete those cookies once the new version comes out.
I don't understand why they keep adding and removing mica effects. Mica looks cool. It should stay.
Yeah, by default signing in to one MS app means signing in to everything else.Frankly, I'm tired of the constant intrusions after updates. Yes.Did it completely replace your bookmarks? Old ones were removed? That is awful.
Again, I wouldn't hold my breath.I'd hope that the steady stream of updates would soon straighten out ridiculous bugs like cookie mismanagement.

Feature updates
- Connected Feature Control (CFC). Admins now have centralized, granular control over cloud-powered and AI-driven services in Microsoft Edge such as Translate, Compose, and Auto Tab Grouping through Connected Feature Control (CFC). This new experience allows organizations to align Edge with their compliance and data protection standards by enabling or disabling specific connected experiences from a single location in the Edge Management Service portal.
- Cross-platform policies in the Edge management service. Admins can now configure policies for Edge for Business across macOS, iOS, and Android devices on top of their existing Windows configurations in the Edge management service. Note: This experience is currently in public preview and can be accessed by opting in to targeted release in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Watermarking Protection in Microsoft Edge for Business. Watermarking Protection in Microsoft Edge helps organizations visibly reinforce data protection policies by overlaying a persistent watermark on sensitive content viewed in the browser. This feature is designed to deter unauthorized sharing, support compliance efforts, and increase user awareness when handling confidential information. Note: This experience is starting public preview rollout and can be accessed by opting in to targeted release in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Protected Clipboard in Microsoft Edge for Business. Admins shouldn’t have to choose between locking down copy/paste and risking data leaks. Protected Clipboard offers a smarter way for keeping sensitive data safe without disrupting user workflows. Leveraging Purview DLP policies to define trusted boundaries across managed cloud apps. Data inside those admin defined boundaries can stay protected while external data can enter if needed. Granular control for admins. Seamless productivity for users. Note: This experience is starting public preview rollout and can be accessed by opting in to targeted release in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Tenant Restrictions v2 (TRv2). New enforcement to block access from unauthorized Microsoft 365 tenants directly in Microsoft Edge for Business, helping organizations maintain strict compliance and prevent data leakage across tenant boundaries. Note: This experience is starting public preview rollout and can be accessed by opting in to targeted release in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
