Serious Discussion Microsoft Edge Stable (Chromium) Now Available for Download

I can't access my saved passwords after the last update. It says "authentication failed". I am 100% sure that I haven't changed my master password. I don't want to create a new profile from the scratch just to get back my passwords.

Password access is fine here. It's Edge. What do you expect? Have you tried repairing it in Settings > Apps?

That makes me wonder why Edge is still following MV3 then if they don't allow the Chrome extensions to begin with. Also makes me wonder what other changes MS made that I can't see that they just did not tell us about them.

I see the Chrome web store if I go directly to the website for it, and I do have the option to add Chrome extensions to Edge there. But the old "Allow extensions from Chrome" option in Edge extensions is gone. This must be a way that MS is trying get more people to use the MS extensions instead of Chrome extensions.

It is the same; instead of turning on "Allow extensions from Chrome", you directly visit Chrome store and install whichever extension you like.
