I went to check & remembered 'sadly' I removed Edge a couple of weeks ago or more so I cannot update it

Removing Edge does not worth effort; using Vivaldi and keeping Edge as a backup and for internet banking.I went to check & remembered 'sadly' I removed Edge a couple of weeks ago or more so I cannot update it![]()
Only removing "game assistant" after updates; apart from that, leaving it sleeping in peace.Yes it is worth it - I have Brave & Wolf as a backup & will continue to remove Edge as it reappears which is a simple task once first done, one of the best decisions this year![]()
This has been fixed in the latest updateTalking about bugs, here's another one.
When I search something in settings, it doesn't appear on first search. But if I remove the text and type again, it finds it.
If I close the settings tab and then open it again to search, the same behavior repeats.
This has been happening since they changed the settings UI.

Microsoft Edge sets a new standard for speed and responsiveness
Microsoft Edge is continuing to blaze a trail toward an even faster and more responsive browser UI, and through a cumulation of efforts of the past few months, we have reached a major milestone of achieving a global First Contentful Paint (FCP) belowblogs.windows.com
That's very odd. Does turning this option off make any difference? I turned it off many months agoI cannot say the same about the quality of the product though. I have 2 different GUI's every time i go into the settings menu.
In earlier versions, after enabling flag for new look rounded tab, turning this option on in settings applies the effect; currently it makes no difference and the flag is not working anymore. That's very odd. Does turning this option off make any difference? I turned it off many months ago

Fixed various bugs and performance issues and feature updates.
Fixes
Feature Updates
- Reverted a change that caused audio issues when playing videos with AAC audio on certain websites. This is planned to be a temporary mitigation, as the root cause is a bug in outdated versions of the HLS.js library used by websites. Affected site owners are encouraged to update to a newer version of HLS.js to ensure compatibility.
- Find on Page in Microsoft Edge for Business will soon be integrated with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Microsoft Edge for Business is introducing Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to Find on Page (CTRL+F). This feature seeks to help users more easily find relevant content and save time.

I don't even have this setting now in Edge.
I had it, turned it on, restarted, and the setting disappeared.
It was about rounded corners. It wasn't a bad design, but I had an issue with it on the very left side of the screen. The left part was unclickable which caused some usability issue for me in some cases. Like when I right click on something to let's say copy the link and after copying my habit (which I only realized at that moment) is to click on the very left edge of the screen to get rid off the right-click menu. But with the rounder corners, the left edge was unclickable. It didn't do anything, didn't cancel the right-click menu. So, I turned it off a long time ago.I had it, turned it on, restarted, and the setting disappeared.I don't notice any difference in appearance. Maybe because it's related to OS settings?
Fixed various bugs and performance issues for Stable Channel.

Fixed various bugs, feature updates, and performance issues for Stable Channel.
Stable channel security updates are listed here.
Feature updates
- Microsoft Edge policies to manage Shadow IT. This feature restricts access to non-Microsoft Generative AI tools using Edge policies. Using the WebContentFilteringBlockedCategories policy, admins can restrict access to other LLMs (except Copilot Chat) along with all browsers (except Microsoft Edge). This helps admins address the shadow IT problem, which is the use of Gen AI tools without oversight of IT admins in the organization. Some of these Gen AI apps can cause data loss and don't comply with the organization's security policies.
