The last time it was tested here Emsisoft browser security didn't do so good.
May I suggest Bitdefender TrafficLight as replacement?
The best protection according to the tests done by @Evjl's Rain a long time ago is Google Chrome (Google Safe Browsing) + Microsoft Defender Browser Protection (SmartScreen) + Bitdefender TrafficLight.

Off topic: @Evjl's Rain how are you doing? Time to do some more testing?
Emsi got updated, and did bit better than trafficlight on few sites @ phishtank

Malwarebytes extension had TLD blocking feature , but i guess it got removed or something

I agree , it would be time for another testing if rain has time....since many of us are using these extensions

Edit: on chrome webstore , emsi has 90k downloads and malwarebytes has over 7 million

seems they added tld blocking back

I'm fine. I'm just bored with the total lockdown in my city :(
I might do some testing if I have time but all the ISPs in my country are trying to throttle the internet :D

- removed qihoo 360, actually used defender + cf for weeks after qihoo

+ added kaspersky cloud free
+ firefox over edge

Kaspersky is using certificates over adguard, wich is ok , no browsing issues, not sure should i disable something from adguard because of possible overlap with adguard certificates, but maybe im not gonna touch since it works...

Config changes:
- Microsoft defender + defenderui free removed
- Firefox removed because i could not get discovery+ working with firefox

+ Added Comodo internet security, config changed to proactive config to fix microsoft defender running in startup > delay registering to windows security center with the internet security config. I am using hips on safe mode . Not too much of alerts , its fine for me.

+ added vivaldi , with bitwarden browser extension + adguard browser assistant

+ updated filterlists on adguard, i am now using only adguard filters + adguard dns with dns over quic protocol

Notes: as much as defender has improved , i dont like the new edge getting bloated, so im just switching browser and that makes me turn back to comodo wich runs smoothly . What im doing now, im deciding to add security/web filter extension on vivaldi later after some testing

Vivaldi used to be sloppy, poorly optimized , out of place....but for me its currently on state where it should be at... and its only getting better

After installing 21H2 windows patch my pc slowly slowed and i could not get decent fps on games i play, pretty much cpu went 100% most of time, what it has not done before

I ran process explorer, nothing specific found

Then i downloaded new iso version of windows 21H2, did clean install and went little less cpu/gpu hungry config.
I gave a go with huorong is wich was pretty impressive thing, probably giving it a new try later

- Removed CIS
+ Added AVAST free

- Removed Adguard desktop
+ Added ublock origin

I guess adguard is best at mobile devices, where i really need it

I also removed dust from case, fans etc.

Now im trying avast for rest of year , maybe trying huorong / new comodo versions next year

Avast is a good protection, but I could recommend Voodooshield or Wisevector to support it :)

Or activate Hardened Mode, but it depends what you do
Yup, i could give a go with visevector or LMT antimalware, Voodooshield has anti-exploit not sure if i can disable it as avast has one too, last time i tried it i ran into whitelisting problems , game client creates new files i have to whitelist, same with hard configurator

I think im good with avast out of the box, but i will loook into hardening tools

Great to see that I am not the only one enjoying Huorong ;)
I actually did clean install and first thing after that was installing huorong, then i installed drivers + all stuff i need and had 0 false positives/flags even the main point of this program is currently at hips /firewall

There is little information about product in english forums, MalwareTips and wilders are the only ones keeping talking since 2019 about this antivirus, and if im correct huorong been alive since 2011 so i think its reputable enough to be used without worrying

Even the detection rate may be low, i dont think its that much of an issue , virustotal, adblockers, uac, smartscreen+ rest will do enough anyways

I saw this on their site btw

Avast got firewall on avast free , so comodo firewall is not needed ( dont like to swap)

Aggressive mode is messing up with adguard, have to whitelist so i keep avast on default settings rather

Is there really anything else than voodooshield for avast free , as it offers most / what is avast even missing anymore?

Well voodooshield has anti-exploit and it covers the avast behaviour blocker on default settings i guess

avast + hardened mode aggressive + a script blocker like syshardener, hard_configurator (block wscript, java, powershell, vbs...) will work like anti-exe. There is no need for voodooshield or wisevector. I tested this combo and it worked extremely well. Almost nothing could pass it

hardened mode only works with exe so a script blocker will do the rest

Voodooshield can assist Avast (with its VoodooAI and Cloud) in detecting unknown programs.

Otherwise there is @Evjl's Rain system too
