Less inpact in system, no need to have headache with firewall

@davisd Hard to say, i have never encountered BSOD since i have been using internet since 2002. I have ISO. file on usb, doesnt that work? No idea:eek:
If your intermediate to advanced, and have no issue with using the bootable media creation tool, it can be used for repairs as well as wipes and combined with regularly done personal backups externally, you should be good to go. Otherwise you may want to look into back up images whether via windows built in or 3rd party...

I could take backups to usb stick once a month, incase something happens. I just do clean install from usb stick 1-2 times a year to keep system clean. I barely download anything, if i do they are just security software installers. I do safe networking + play games. Sometimes i transfer pictures over external hard drive, but thats all. I know people that are very very precise about backups but somehow i dont feel like backupping after every software install

@Nestor I have never ran comodo antivirus, cloud is nice because of default deny protection = sandbox. I installed it because i wanted to get rid of Windows defender while having SysHardener to harden firewall settings. So far so good

I might try Hard_Configurator someday

Update:
Using yandex dns ( family protection)
Why? speed Performance over neustar , domain blocking over other else than neustar

also included Picture of idle comodo if someone wondering how light it is.

Been running whole day with edge, few times crashed ( blank) it feels like its still on beta stage.

If im fine running edge + nanoblocker without any worry about privacy, i rather use chromium / firefox with nanoblocker for performance/stability atleast

Also updated my filterlists, theres picture included. I dont use hosts.cf ones because they cause break something for me

Last edit:
Google chrome;
- Nanoblocker
- Malwarebytes extension
- Privacy possum
- Bitwarden

Firefox;
- Ublock origin ( nano defender filters, so no defender extension needed)
- Malwarebytes extension
- Privacy possum
- Bitwarden
- Canvasblocker

and google as search engine on both.

- had to remove annoyances ultralist, because it were conflicting with other annoyance filters

And ccleaner with weekly clean

After all this privacy/ paranoia im just gonna go with this..

Update:
- removed comodo cloud av
+ added comodo internet security ( firewall with cs settings)

- removed canvasblocker
+ added scriptsafe ( default allow, fingerprint protection on, better to opt out domains out than with nanoblocker. Also seems to block alot stuff by default) For firefox better than canvasblocker

Because of having scriptsafe now, i can block comment box domains out, and 1hosts.cf filterlist wont break comment boxes because they dont exist anymore for me i have added these filters back:
http://1hosts.cf
http://1hosts.cf/addon/

Guess its just firewall only or CIS ,CIS in my case

Current browser setup, comodo dragon as main browser. Comodo online security is useless since i have internet security installed..but i let it be there so i can report malicious sites if needed

Also using built in dns protection by browser, router is using comodo secure dns instead of neustar now

Have you fully tested ScriptSafe's fingerprint protection on websites yet?

Few you can test below:
- Canvas Fingerprinting - BrowserLeaks.com
- Test
- Panopticlick

Also if you're going to harden FF do not set Fingerprinting to true. It fully blocks FF from being Fingerprinting, which by it's makes you identifiable.

From: Add-on - Comodo Online Security v1.2.45944.37 Released (for Mozilla Based Browsers)
I have Comodo Internet Security - Web-filtering, do i still need it?
In general no. It uses the same cloud based database. But there have been cases where for certain blocked cases CIS has not been able to show proper block page allowing you to continue browsing. Down the road we will be shipping this with Comodo Internet Security/Internet Security Essentials / Comodo Secure Shopping also.
.
Why extension, why not application?
Browser applications model is now getting more rigid and allowing to provide additional security via extensions only rather external applications.

@LDogg second test wont pass at all, if i can remember right canvasblocker did block it on firefox. Im just gonna stick to chrome ( comodo dragon) since i can finally see something thanks to font render enhancer. Any alternative with whitelisting option? I can take a look on fingerprint thread, there were some extensions but might break sites

Canvas defender will notice 'test' one so doesnt that just mean its passed the test
Btw someone is targetting my friends university with phishing mails, netcraft blocked them but my setup without netcraft didnt

@Gandalf_The_Grey they bring online security with dragon anyways so im keeping it,

Update:

Comodo dragon;
- nano adblocker
- comodo online security
- scriptsafe
- malwarebytes extension
- privacy possum
- bitwarden
- font render enchantment
- netcraft
- random user-agent

I have added netcraft ( phishing) and random user-agent wich is better than scriptsafe has

After messing whole morning with my privacy tweaks i have been burnout completely, ugh. After all i see many really professional users recommending google chrome to go with

Update:
+ added Google chrome:
- nano defender ( 290k filters)
- malwarebytes extension
- netcraft
- bitwarden

+ Google as default search ( duckduckgo were much worse for safe results)

+ Cloudfare DNS

Lets go with performance/security over privacy

Im looking for good chrome:/flags to improve performance
Im looking for light av to use with comodo firewall (getting bored while waiting for kaspersky cloud)

Instead of avast + cf(cs) i could give AVG a try, something new

Doesn't Nano Defender with that many filters slow things down?
In my option good choices for extensions.
If you get Kaspersky Cloud eventually you don't need the Malwarebytes extension anymore.

Instead of duckduckgo you could try startpage (uses Google)

I have not found a good really light av to go with CF.
Maybe other members have suggestions?

@Gandalf_The_Grey i did fast cleanup, i dont need malwaredomains at all, just adblocking. It would be nice if someone here on MT could build optimal adblock filterlist just only for adblocking...not sure do i even need the coinblocker filters since im using malwarebytes extension. I have disabled malwarebytes ad/tracking already. I built this pc around in 2014, 8gt ram, gtx 970, fx 6300, still having hdd. I mainly play old java game and just browse web, i think my cpu is around 30% most of time, ram sitting under 50%, i would like to render everything throught my GPU thought
filters182018.png

@stefanos cruelsisters cf is all i need, but id like to have atleast bit of av protection or i just could schedule on-demand to run once a week. I could test 360 for fun, also avast/avg + syshardener is one option. Id like to give immunet + cf(cs) another run...Only way i could be infected is throught zero day malware from networking, but cf would kill it.

@Spawn i had it installed for short time, just had fast look what it really contains..im gonna install it now to do bit more research

If i could have browser with everything build in it, i could run it isolated with cf..not very handy but it wouldnt mess up with extensions

I have installed avg + syshardener on my daughter's PC and I am very impressed. At my pc install 360TS for fun. And now after 2 months i love it
