Apparently a website redesign is on the way too. It will probably include all these illustrations as well.Tried it, and uninstalled it. Looks like the cheap version from AliBaba.

I am interested in it but it's likely long gone lol.I have 1 extra seat for norton delux for 4 years if anyone wants it free.
Typical AvastThis thing is not ready, it detected on my onedrive the windows update blocker and wpd.exe as some trojans, plus it deleted wise care 365 from my pc because it was also a virus. Added the first two to the exclusions, downloaded wise care again, it quarantine it, i restore it and added to exclusion, tried to install it, it gets blocked again, well i uninstall Norton, went back to v22, hopefully they will improve it.
These are suspicious tools that attackers can abuse to compromise your security.windows update blocker and wpd.exe
This is snake oil and anything but wise.wise care 365
That’s normal, you’ve excluded the installer, but the installed program is not excluded. It triggers detections as well, till you exclude everything.blocked again, well i uninstall Norton, went back to v22, hopefully they will improve it.
I have sent a feedback message and sent a log file created through Norton from Settings--Troubleshooting--Log a performance profile, and enabled debug logs. I hope they will resolve itI think this new Norton 360 v24 is still in development mode. Because while downloading video or any file through the Internet download manager, my laptop hangs (like 50% performance lag), and the downloading speed reduces from 30 MB/sec to 20 MB/sec. First, I thought it was an IDM fault, but today I tested uninstalling Norton v24, and everything is back to normal. Again, I tried installing Norton v24, and hang and speed reduction issues came again. Norton's CPU will be at 40–60% while downloading. I also tested in terms of performance while downloading in Chrome without IDM., which was at the same 15-20 MB/sec with a little less hang (like 20% performance lag) and CPU usage at 25–40%.

So far, I had to manually allow Brother printer software and Windows version of WhatsApp manually through the firewall and had to go through the quarantine routine to allow a software I use to function because it was an unsigned beta from Github and was detected by low reputation. Otherwise, no problems.Have others here had the same experience that you have?
Just forget about Norton, install avast if you really want to use that engine. Same same different appearanceSee now it is issues like this which makes me not want to try this new version of Norton.
This version of Norton v24 sucks. I have tested malware that goes to damage the MBR and is not blocked by the BB (same thing with Avast) while Norton v22 with SONAR succeeds perfectly in blocking the threat and preventing its corruption, making it possible to boot the system.
I would say they did a major downgrade.
Same malware also tried with Kaspersky and Checkpoint Harmony. They, too, prevent MBR corruption and the system is bootable.
In my experience many third party firewalls are problematic. Bitdefender used to block my wife's work VPN for instance... I would open a hole and it would close in the next update. Funny thing is Avast in the same machine does create the rules automatically.Avast's Firewall is rather problematic in my experience. With Avast aka now Norton Firewall enabled if I use AnyDesk on my phone to connect to the PC then often it causes lag. It happens only with Avast Firewall. Avast in the VM also causes issue. I cannot copy-paste file/URL from the host to the VM. It's blocked by Avast Firewall. Tried quite a few things but couldn't make it work. It's been like this basically always. Never had these issues with any other product.
It should be enough. The uninstall tool is necessary only when you get dangerous files left behind, like drivers, for instance.Question. I recently reinstalled Norton on my PC. I have a 360 Premium subscription. Do they provide an uninstall tool or is just removing it from the control panel sufficient? Thanks.
I use HiBit, and when I uninstalled the new version, Norton’s “built in uninstaller” took over. Very slow uninstall. Rebooted after the uninstall and HiBit restarted and I was able to scan for leftovers. 300 or so leftover ”files”. Wasn’t too bad.Question. I recently reinstalled Norton on my PC.
