With the transformation of Norton into Avast-bis (by the way, what will the behavior blocker be?) what do you think will become of Avira? Maybe some here are very well informed?

So far I can say that mobile avira has literally exactly the same detections as avast from recently, it looks like they're already officially one and the same thing, but that's for Android.

Basically Avira was kept alive because they have a decent SDK OEM business and many products use it's engine. AVG/Avast does not have any SDK to speak of and Norton technology cannot be licensed.
Avira on mobile does not have this advantage, I think more or less Avira on mobile is now just Avast with a new name.
