Testing malware should be done in a virtual machine and not on your host PC.
I would consider some type of system backup solution
Thanks for sharing your config :)

Agree with @Exterminator ! You should practically never test malware on a host machine your asking for trouble that way. UAC should be set to at least default. Thanks for sharing!

If I recall correctly, he runs malware samples sanboxed in Sandboxie.

I'm not making the argument that Sandboxie is sufficient, but instead just pointing out a detail in his security configuration.

Having User Access Control and OS File Reputation off is not a good idea. I would turn those back on.

I agree, it's way to risky to run any kind of malware on your main pc. You can't rely on anything 100%, not to mention your own privacy which can be easily compromised at any given time. My advice is the same, use a VM (at least) for malware testing.

Have you not read the notes i post.

ANY kind of malware in a VM, not just the nasty ones... Don't get offended by this, by all means do what you want, it was just a friendly advice and a personal opinion.

Also don't forget, a malware is as nasty as you know it to be, you don't know how nasty it is until you have tested it yourself.. and even then, you might not get it's full potential :)

Internet Explorer SmartScreen Filter - Turn On or Off - Windows 7 Help Forums

That's better than nothing.
