Obama vs. Romney

If my prognostication is correct, Romney would win it because if neither of the candidates pulls two-thirds from the electoral college I believe we then go by popular vote.
That said, there is no way to guess this stuff. I am just having fun with it. :)

EDIT: Actually 270 is enough for two-thirds, but you get the gist.
 
From Europe, we have the impression (and i observed that when i lived in US) that most Americans choose their president or political leaders for their personality, charisma, personal behaviors, beliefs, etc... but not for their political program and plans which is the most important thing. Im sure that many voters have no clues of the political program of their favorite.
The best example is Terminator as governor of California...

In France , when French citizens chose Francois Hollande, they chose the Left Side political program, Hollande is just the guy that will execute the program.

Look, I know you Love the US (I do too) but you underestimate the strength of the US as a nation. What happened in the Balkans recently is a result of the clash between Islam and Christianity during the last 1000 years in that part of the World. Nothing like that is happening in the US or is gonna happen there for at least a few hundred years. So, relax and stop listening to people talking nonsense about the greatest country in the World.

If you really like to understand the Balkans, start reading after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century. Later, the Crusades, followed by the struggle of the Byzantine empire to survive and effectively stopping the advancement of Islam into Europe for a few centuries.

By the time Constantinople fell to the Turks in 1453, Christianity got lucky. In Spain, for example, the two greatest Christian kingdoms united and expelled the Muslims out of Spain and Western Europe. In other parts of Europe, other strong Christian kingdoms were also being unified, stopping the advancement of Islam on the other side of Europe. At the same time, the Balkans, Bulgaria, Greece were falling into the hands of the Turks.They remained in Turkish control until the Balkan wars in the early 19th century. Thats the beginning of the story about what happened in the Balkans a few years ago.

Information is the currency of democracy and we are bathing in disinformation and ignorance in the United States. Then all we have left is "he is cool", "I would do him", "He seems a lot like me" etc.....................

That is what we have been the last 16 years.
I really don't think people understand, nor do most of them care to understand that while Obama may be a "decent guy" the adoration of the masses makes him dangerous when combined with his narcissistic personality complex that seems to drive his decisions. I really am not trying to sound negative or bash anyone, but get used to the United States not being a leader in ANYTHING, because that time is coming fast. People always talk about our children and our children's children suffering. That would be bad enough, but we will dissolve long before then because we have put the trust of a King into a totalitarian type of President. Bypassing congress with Executive Orders at an astonishing pace, thereby violating the Constitution, is enough, in itself, to make our foundation crumble. The adoration and the "he can do no wrong" mentality of the media will help condone the many flaws that are delegated through illegal means. We are a nation of sheeple. Most of us have to be told what to do--who to vote for--there is much ignorance and propaganda that shields poor leadership from being exposed to where sheeple will do something about it at the polls.
Based on this election, I believe that we will never see a competent President in the Oval Office ever again. The gloves came off and everyone that cares voted. Obama still one handily. Whoever the DNC puts up for President will always be selected by those states that Obama won. That is a fact. They are a lock from here on out. The majority of the "blue state" populations have decided that they will vote against a Republican no matter how detrimental the alternative will be. It is their prerogative to do so. Reality is tough sometimes.

Demorctes are not very good for stock market in u.s. history (as far i know)
and in my country people too talking about 4 years of dull market all over the world including my country
 
Households that earn more than 100,000 dollars before taxes (60,000 dollars after taxes) are Obama's sworn enemies. They shall pay for the needs, and soon to be the recreation, of the lower classes. After the "rich" are broke and destitute and homeless, then where will the lower classes get their milk money? Let Obama answer that question.

I would like to take this comment of mine and my time in it, to explain the exact truths of the "US" Presidents. They are nothing more then high salaried PR "Public Relations" spokesman for the US. The Congress actually run the US, swayed by lobbyist and special interest "The Wealthy". If you noticed in Obama's first run, Congress had stricken down many attempts that Obama made.

I myself, being ex-military, have found, even though i served my country, i do not like they way it has been run for a very long time, and hence, do not vote, knowing it really makes no difference. Look up the term Electoral College, tell me what you find.. No matter which way it is presented, the people really have little say in things in this country any more. It saddens me to say so, as i love my country, but have no love for they way it has been run here lately.

Just my two cents, look into this governments ways and policies, you will be surprised in what you find.
 
When I think of true leaders I think of Reagan, Truman, Kennedy, Jackson, Polk, Madison, Jefferson, and Teddy Roosevelt. Those guys had big rocks and could back it up. They served the citizens rather than exploit them.
