Malware Defender works more in the lines of a classic HIPS application. It can provide an excellent level of protection if used by a knowledgeable user with lots of spare time to set-up rules :D . CIS is suited for a wider audience. CIS should achieve 340/340 on the CLT test... maybe switch CIS to proactive security?

agree, and the classic mistake when using CLT is let the AV and Comodo Sandbox active.

But, MDL test (Malware Domain List) makes sense? Detection rate Avast Free + Malware Defender > CIS!

of course avast has better Detection, but CIS is better on prevention, concerning MDL i prefer Malc0de, their list is more recent. and has less errors.

OK! You are right all! But, I mean I setup identical in the two examples (at the same level of opportunities - as congruent in).
Indeed the results are a bit forced!
But you see here:
- detection rate Avast AV > detection rate Comodo AV = + 1 for combination (Avast + Malware Defender)
- Avast Behavior Blocker > Comodo IS equivalent = +1 for combination
- Avast has strong Web Shield, Mail Shield, P2P Shield, IM Shield, Network Shield (excelent module) and Script Shield - CIS, not have this modules = +1 for combination
- Malware Defender has better detection for keylogger and rootkit than CIS = +1 for combination
- Malware Defender "learn" more difficult, but after that, is more "detailed" than the CIS = +1 for combination
- Avast heuristic detection > CIS equivalent = +1 for combination
- Avast free + Malware Defender is lighter than CIS (CPU and RAM) = +1 for combination.
Etc., etc., ....... etc!!!:D

Thanks. I wait for other opinions, and ... I'll decide. Anyway, shame not to use license:blush::D
