I guess it depends. Is the "dark sheets" feature that important to you? (It's not for me; it's more annoying than anything else) OnlyOffice is very good, as is softmaker office. I tend to think OnlyOffice is geared towards online collaboration and is not desktop-only. You'll often see OnlyOffice one business and Nextcloud platforms. Desktop users are an afterthought. That being said, Softmaker office is made for standalone users. It's very good at what it aims to do, which is to offer near perfectly compatibility with MS Office. If you're considering Softmaker Office, why not consider Ashampoo Office? The same company makes both titles, and they are essentially identical, except that Softmaker Office has integrated AI and a monthly fee.
