What’s new in Opera stable:
  • The latest Chromium version (128.0.6613.170) has been integrated, ensuring better performance and security for desktop users.
  • On the fix side, we’ve addressed an issue where the emoji picker wasn’t closing properly when clicking outside the sidebar.

Opera Stable 114.0.5282.115​

Last year we redesigned our browser and released Opera One, a truly AI-ready browser with modular design at its core. With Opera One, we also introduced Aria, our built-in browser AI. And today, we’re unveiling Opera One R2: our best and most beautiful browser to date. Opera One R2 builds on Opera One’s core elements and brings new and useful features to our flagship browser.

Opera One R2 further expands the AI-capabilities of Opera One’s Aria browser AI, building on our experimental AI Feature Drops which we introduced earlier to test AI innovations. Most of these innovative AI-features are making it into the main version of our browser for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. These include an enhanced Command Line with Page Context mode, and new capabilities such as Image Generation and Image Understanding. We also made Aria available to all Opera users without the need for them to log in.

Opera 116 has officially rolled out, marking the beginning of a new stable version (116.0.5366.21).

Here’s a closer look at the highlights of this release:

  • Crashes Resolved: Numerous crash scenarios have been tackled.
  • UI Refinements: Dark mode now includes proper backgrounds for sidebar player icons, and the Theme Gallery’s scroll behavior matches the dark color scheme for better visual consistency.
  • Improved Settings: We’ve resolved missing warning colors and adjusted margins in the Settings menu, ensuring clarity and usability.
  • EULA Dialog Adjustments: The End User License Agreement dialog now displays correctly, even with a system scaling of 125%, and installation is smooth.
  • Address Bar and Start Page Enhancements: Fixed a “double icon” effect in the address bar and improved the clarity of the Start page button.
  • Dropdown Overlay Effect: Dropdowns now display the proper overlay effect for better interface coherence.
