I have switched to HaoZip from 7-Zip.
Nice set of additional tools for a Zip manager you probably won't get elsewhere :)

Peazip is a valid alternative compared to WinRAR, and for free.
Yes, indeed. Winrar cost is high. I belive there is no need to buy winrar while you can get nearly the same functionality for free

It's Chinese. I've mostly seen its use in VMs, mainly for files testing purposes. Batch Rename, Batch Replace String, MD5 check, etc are quite useful in different use cases there.

I have used PeaZip for a couple years now as my Zip solution.
I like it better than 7zip ;)
And you didn't try Haozip yet ;)

Both are great alternatives to Winrar. I liked Peazip the most

I am downloading it now and will be testing it on my old PC

Haozip is a dead project (2012). I think switching over to other alternatives is a better choice.
I wasn't fully aware, thanks for letting me know. I'd read that it's pricing model was discontinued and it was made available free forever. That had its meaning!
Still, the options of technology for comp/decompression do very well in performance and the other tools can be useful.
That can stay alongside 7zip for me.

No my brother, I am familiar with PeaZip at this point and will stick with it. You know the
old addage, "if it aint broke, don't fix it" that applies here.
I stopped switching and swapping app's because
of the clutter it creates on the drive & in the registry.
I have a solid config with security, "and" accessory apps.
So now I can relax and enjoy it for a bit, it feels good :p
