Troubleshoot Photos app crashing on Windows 10 1909

Hi, I recently did a clean installation of 1909 64bit Pro.
Photos app crashing oftentimes.
I have ESET Internet Security.

It never happened before.
Photos app is my default photo viewer app.
Wondering Shutup10's app setting might cause this, but I doubt it.

My settings for Apps in Shutup10 are these below in this screenshot:

I forgot to mention that sometimes when I want to open an image, it crashes, then I close it, and then I open the same image, and it doesn't crash!

I meant to know does having it helps avoid the crash?

It probably adds some libraries, which help Photos app. Just like DX9 is still indeed, even when Windows has DX12 by default.

I've reset and repaired the Photos app multiple times. I was also experiencing system file corruption out of the blue, no clue as to how or why. Likely the two issues are concurrent.

Running v.2009 for the past week, no Photos problems, no Store issues, no longstanding disk bugs, no need for sfc /scannow to repair anything (yet).

To get the fix: Set Telemetry to Full, switch to the Insider Account Dev - restart - update apps - run the update again (store closes) - unlink Insider ASAP!

Back in July, we reported Photos App on Windows 10 is crashing like hell whenever you try to open an image. The affected app version caused the issue was 2020.20070.1002.0. Today, on September 20, the Photos app received a much-needed update that jumps version number to 2020.20090.1002.0 and it may have come with a crash fix and other improvements as it is working surprisingly fine for us without any issue. The app is now launching much faster than before.

I got an update to version 2020.20090.1002.0 two days ago when checking for updates in the Microsoft Store app.
Maybe you can check for updates manually?

I seem to have been updated on September 16th.

The problem is that there is a problem with the app.
I remember that there were no such problems with the Painter and Photo-viewer that came with it in the past.
The store should have had the advantage of making it easier to manage updates for each app, but it's too late.
