Talk with your ISP before changing fiber optical modem. Your service provider may have a locked OLT which may require a specific brand of modem.

It is the endpoint hardware device in a passive optical network. The manufacturer of these devices offers these devices at a reduced cost to isp if the isp agrees to only use the same company's modem(called ont) at customers premises and as a result OLT is programmed to reject all other foreign ONTs.
