Now 2 weeks with new provider, Speed 100 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up

I got this from a friend in Sweden.
We should be so lucky.

I don't know how you put up with that slow speed.

Seriously, I remember my speed at 1.7 Mbps on a good day.

Yep, the latest come-on from my ISP to "upgrade", they're gonna yank those speeds end of December. Oh well.

This works for me. Always kind of wondered why ISPs don't go with these kinds of dl/ul speeds for affordable baseline standard home accounts...

Did you work for your ISP or did you select your home server. Ping of 0ms is really good. My ISP started throttling speed from advertised 10Megs to 1Megs. Dunno why they do it. I asked several times and no clear answer. Will wait till this month to switch to new ISP.

This is without VPN of course. My VPN is a little bit more expensive than my ISP. lol

1.0Gbps-1.4Gbps symmetrical depending on wind conditions.

In all fairness, I am downgrading this week to only 400Mbps connection because I have some special gear coming online for DPI and APT that doesn't support over around 500Mbps.

My cable provider for years is called Bnet but it was bought a couple of years ago by mobile provider Vip so when I was testing my speed I choose their server in Zagreb but I live in Split which is about 400 Km distance. In Croatia, if you live in a city like me you are better to select cable ISP rather than anything else.

This really is the max my hdd can support w/o choking for bandwidth. I am happy with my unlimited plan at $ 11.38/month (INR 820).

That's really good. I pay Rs. 1000 and get only 10Mbps and now they throttle the speed when downloading any file above 100MB.
Do you use any VPN?
