Hello from this side of the screen
Nice and simple config!
Norton is a very good choice as your main security suite. You could consider adding an antimalware layer with real time protection, just in case something gets through.( If you don't have a license you can check out the MalwareTips Zemana Antimalware giveaway !)
I would consider Norton provides excellent malicious website filtering for you.You could give Noscript addon a chance for filtering in browser malicious script/XSS/ clickjacking attacks. Also, sandboxie free could protect you by keeping it isolated from your browser.
Consider having a system image backup using windows default backup or a third party software just in case of any failed installations, failed updates, malware attack,BSOD, you can easily revert to the previous state without having to go through the hoops again.(Amoemi Backupper free, Macrium Reflect free do very nicely)
Those are just my suggestions! Remember to practise safe browsing ethics and stay updated!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the recommendations. I'm not really into downloading stuff nor testing malware, so i hardly think i should need more real time protection layers. Still, i'll give it a look to the giveaway to see if Security God wants me to install Zemana.
Why did you remove Vivaldi?UPDATE:
-AdwCleaner as an on demand scanner
-NoBot as an on demand scanner
-ZHPCleaner as an on demand scanner
-Eraser as a privacy software
-Paragon as my backup software (imaged my disk to an external drive)
-Created and configured a virtual machine to participate on MalwareHub (when i get 100 posts)
-Migrated from Windows 7 SP1 to Windows 10 lastest build
-Norton integrated firewall set to maximum level and user-dependant on every single detection
Chrome offered me more than i wanted, and i wasn't really using Vivaldi. I'll try your recommendations, thanks! Why did you remove Vivaldi?
Other than that you are protected.
- Install other extensions, like HTTPS Everywhere and Disconnect
- Install Sandboxie and use it while browsing, to have more protection.
