About 8 months ago my dad recommended a pretty normal program to me and gave me a non-normal address to get it from, no idea how he thought that site was safe because I was flooded with viruses immediately. (I think he thought it was a mirror site, that's at least what I'd assumed it was.) My anti-virus at the time warned me immediately, but I only stopped the rapid explosion with the help of multiple anti-virus/malware/etc programs that searched for different types of infections, ran several times each for about two days. I eventually cleared most of it up, back to functioning, when it seemed at first my whole computer was lost. However, certain ones have lingered no matter what I've tried, mostly all different variations of the same name. Save! On, SaVee On!, Suave! on, etc. I have deleted the extensions numerous times and quarantined them endlessly, yet every single time I open chrome anew the extensions are there again. The only saving grace is they return Disabled, at least.
I continue to receive "malware detected" warnings every few hours any day my computer is on. They're easily quarantined, and I've seen no other symptoms except the extensions that return themselves no matter how many times I delete them or infection scans I run, but I don't trust that I'm safe, precisely because of the continued emergences.
I saw a post in which twinheadedeagle create a tailored fix for someone with the same extension/problem, so I'm hoping that I can also request assistance tailored for my computer. =) (I also ran the first script for Zoek while reading the thread, but fortunately caught that the next step was tailored before doing more. However, that result log is already prepared as well, so while it's not part of your preparation guide, I've added it as well. =) Thank you in advance!)
