exactly it is a website promoting piracy and downloaded adware and trojans along with it.

FWIW, I was referring to malware found in sites and software that should be considered safe. Several even show up in content sent to sites by servers.

Yes Linux has issues, but Debian does a good job with vulnerabilities. It's basically the boss/feeder to the majority of Linux ecosystem. When it moves others follow.
