Yes kaspersky is resource hog as always but improved much with time and i am not using mbam pro in realtime because it too take some resource and i am happy with on demand scan.

I did not install software which come with ask toolbar,although i have option not to install it but still i dont install adware supporting software.

For such software which suggest other software you can use the /NOCANDY switch to skip open candy. For pdf reading I suggest Nitro PDF Reader.

I have decided to use free version of software on my desktop except the OS
Any suggestions guys

Well there are a lot of free versions out there for all the software you have.

Like for an AV you could use Avast and CO-MO-DO Firewall. CCleaner as the maintenance, and so on.

All you have to do is Google the answer.

oops i mean to say that what is opinion of other members about free products

Free products now are as good or even better than paid ones, the only big vendors i am willing to pay are Norton and Emsisoft

For free products despite of the lack of features compared on paid products, the performance went well and that's the factor for it.

Got a good deal from local shop while buying few dvds and pendrive and it cost only $10 for avast Internet security 1 year genuine license.
I have grabbed it and now back with avast again :)

How do you find the Avast firewall? Is it as effective as the CO-MO-DO firewall?
