If you're not aware, the full TrafficLight run on service and are still in beta. From my past experience it has issue with NoScript and runs on Java. Also the user may experience browsing slowdown on some webpages. The browser extension is a better option.

I tested it when released and it was horrible, the Browser version is the total opposite, works very well

So Stranger get TrafficLight or LinkScann

I will give it a try soon

Avast has a web shield and surf advisor, you don't want to overlap them do you? It is advisable not to have two HTTP scanners scans at once.

Personally i don't have the need of a web scanner (just BD TL for my FF browser plus some other plugins) as my antimalware (EAM) don't scans web traffic. It's ideal for my setup everything is done by execution and monitoring modifications which also helps to trim down performance.

Uninstalled webroot, its freezes browsers when 4 or more tabs open.
Back with best ................. Avast

I've notice it too but that was with FF v.12 (also earlier version too) and some plugins issues such as Flash and not WSA related.
If it did probably because you have an overlap protection.

I don't use Chrome maybe i will try WSA with FF 13 sees if it has any issue.

Thanks :D

Why so?
Avast is pretty convenient and efficient for most user.
It's fine to dabble with magic but don't be overly PARANOID.
Some people just ending up Barking at the Moon.

:p

RE: Stranger Desktop Security Setup

How is Kasperky Pure. Isn't it a Cloud AV?

Not very difficult for a cloud AV, if you said compared to kingsoft, Webroot or Panda it will be different ! :D

panda is always heavy for me
webroot is falsely claimed lightest av and i bet nobody can prove it,it slow downs my browsing speed and downloading speed by half compare to avast/avira/mse.

have not tried kingsoft but have readin many blogs that its light

P.S: If anyone have doubt about webroot install it on your computer and give it try for 1 day its heavier than any other good av.

It is light indeed, you dont feel it, all the shield worked (except the video one for me).

Are we talking about Panda Cloud free? I am not sure exactly how can it be heavy. For the time I tested and ran on a laptop and was by far one of the lightest ones.

Could you explain how panda has been heavy for you and which versions?

Thanks

RE: Stranger Desktop Security Setup

Who said Kaspersky is solely a Cloud AV. Pure can not be comapred with other Cloud AV. IT has hybrid technology and has full offlice capabilities. IT is a all in one suite using KIS engine.

RE: Stranger Desktop Security Setup

Yes Kaspersky Pure isn't solely a cloud AV it's just KIS with a few extra features, Password manager, backup and secure file shredder etc.

RE: Stranger Desktop Security Setup

In other words, it should then use the same footprint as KIS/KAV then.

Are there any improvements in Pure at all? I am referring to the tools/features that were available in KAV/KIS.
