I wonder how Symantec's detection compares nowadays. Broadcom inherited a decent foundation.

I wonder how Symantec's detection compares nowadays. Broadcom inherited a decent foundation.

For samples I have previously submitted to VT, it is solid, 2nd tier after K and ESET.

How do you install the unmanaged client with out the web protection locking you in? you cant remove or disable safe web browser protection in edge. When you have a false positive and need to bypass the settings you can't.

Unfortunately, I won’t be using Symantec anymore. You can no longer choose whether to install Symantec Browser Protection—it’s forced, and it takes away user control. When it detects a false positive, there’s no way to bypass it or add exceptions, which makes it frustrating to use.
