The best repair performance after malware attacks
In a rigorous 10-month test, AV-TEST found out which antivirus application and which clean-up tool are most capable of cleaning up and repairing Windows systems after a malware attack. The REPAIR AWARD 2014 goes to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free and to the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.
This is what the tools had to repair and clean up
The antivirus software and removal tools were each evaluated according to different criteria. The antivirus software was installed on a system already infected and had to prove its capabilities. In the second segment, the already installed security suite was briefly deactivated, the system was infected with malware, and the protection was then reactivated.
