Version 2.490 came out and my Last Updated time stamp was still 12/30/2025.

Today it updated again to 2.494 and still stuck on that date.

Anyone else having the same cosmetic issue?

Just released today. So maybe in a while you'll have it. I thought there was no update last month but it seems there was. I did not notice as my updated date is stuck.

Been testing out TrendMicro Maximum Security i will say they have made improvements to file detections this month. A slight improvement in web protection, but defiantly a big improvement in file detection.

I think I need to factory reset my Asus Firmware. It's been a while flashing back and forth from Official Asus WRT and Merlin.

Useless, it does absolutely nothing, doesn't even block trackers last time I checked. In 15 years it's alerted me once to a malicious website.

Shame because ASUS firmware and software updates are top notch and frequent.

it never claimed to block trackers in the first place. While it's not the best protection out there, it definitely blocked more than one site in my tests. I think it's a nice addition without a big loss of speed.

Time to Reset my Asus Router. Updated to 2.498 but date still stuck on Dec 2025. It's been 3 versions now.

Luckily my router just received a new firmware from Asus. That gave me the motivation to factory reset.
Now all working as intended without the glitch.

Just checked my Firmware & its up to date & Trend on latest, I did a router reset a couple of weeks ago the issue actually was a dodgy bought Ethernet cable, I assumed it was my Ethernet from the lounge (ONT) with my sockets into dining room where router is so I remade those, turned out to be a bought cable, Grrrrr - I wasn't able to test Ethernet cables properly because I lent my tester out & the borrower was on holiday so I had to buy another Ethernet tester, so now I have two! So even more Grrrrr
