According to AV-Comparatives, 4 FP's in the March report for TM Internet Security. Not sure if setting Web Threats/ Protection Strength to High would increase those odds, and if IS has that option?
That's a good result in terms of FP's. I'm running a 6 month trial, let's see how it performs.

The Hypersensitive mode works as anti-exe default-deny. It will block any executable not verified by Trend the first time you run it.
On first run, it will just display delete.

If you press on delete, it will be deleted an on detection name, AEGIS_HTTPSChecker appears.

If you don’t delete and try running again, Open File option appears in addition to delete.

Hypersensitive mode also configures various settings which Trend Micro doesn’t really describe but I found configured in JSON files.
It’s quite a few things that change.

Automatic switches the protection mode based on user behaviour’s risk score, which Trend Micro calculates, on the components list, there is something related to that.

Have they fixed the problem with removing viruses from antivirus databases? Around the beginning of the year, I came across the fact that the antivirus first detects the virus, but the detection disappears from the databases after some time. :/ I wrote to them and they said they would check everything. It also reacted to some new programs and deleted them, although other antiviruses did not respond to these programs in any way. I suspect that it relies heavily on the reputation of the file. I had to delete it. Are there any improvements now? I also observed that Trend was one of the last to detect viruses. I wrote to them in support about all this, but some bot answered me in support, who suggested updating the antivirus :/ . Are there any improvements at the moment?

The database is improving, yes, but it's still fairly average.

I mean, there was a bug 3 months ago where viruses were deleted from the Trend Micro database. He detected the virus, but after a while the detection disappeared. I also haven't found a way to send them a virus sample. Maybe because they don't have a virus lab and everything works automatically, but that's a huge disadvantage. I've watched some viruses go undetected for a month or more.

Trend Micro also had a problem with HouseCall. HouseCall detected the virus, but Trend Micro itself did not detect it. Don't they have any database synchronization? Have they fixed it?

It is very average, but 2-3 years ago, it was a joke.
I never would have recommended Trend Micro back then.

The database is somehow divided in 2 parts - smart scan agent and smart scan server. The agent (which is on the machine) was 40 mb!!! Now they have increased to a bit over 50.

The server pattern (which holds all the rest) was also getting one daily update — now it gets around 4.

The behavioural blocking pattern like Threat Tracing, Threat Behaviour Tracing, Digital Signature, Program Inspection, Threat Correlation and some others, you’d barely see an update. Maybe in 1.5 - 2 months you would get an update. Now the Threat Behaviour tracing pattern is updated pretty much daily, the rest every 3-4 days….

And Trend Micro was probably the only vendor that did not collect and process new files (according to them). You’d have to contact support to submit.
Now they seem to be collecting and processing automatically.

Maybe because they don't have a virus lab and everything works automatically
They do have a Virus Lab and it’s very well staffed. In fact, they got several different virus labs around the world.
