Question Ublock Origin Lite odd behaviour

Sometimes when I click a link Chrome downloads a small 17byte file, when I try a second time the website loads. This issue does not exist with UBO, just the lite version. Anyone experiencing this ? Is there a way to contact Raymond Hill (gorhill) directly ?

Actually I disabled both Kaspersky and UBOL and same result...really odd.

Did you try to reset the browser or clear the cache?

Did you install a software in the past that changed the search engine or any related options in your browser, what described as adware or something like that?

I have noticed if I use for example the DuckDuckGo search engine...the issue dissapears. I might have to reinstall Kaspersky Plus and see if that fixes it.

I don't think it is a Kaspersky or extensions problem, I tried to reproduce this behavior and the only step that give the same result is by clicking on "Alt" instead of "Ctrl" to open the link.

Actually, the only thing that worked was to pause Kaspersky Protection.

Don't pause the whole protection, try to disable just HTTPS scanning in web protection, disabling the whole AV is not safe.

I only paused protection temporarily to test. "Do not scan encrypted connections" works too.

Buenas, espero que esta sea mi última consulta porque os estaré aburriendo, pero es que menuda racha llevo. Así que os pido perdón de entrada. Hace unos días me di cuenta que cuando hacía una búsqueda en Chrome, al pulsar en algunos enlaces, Chrome me intentaba bajar un archivo en lugar de abrir ...

Today, there is a new Kaspersky Protection add-on version:

And here the issue is already fixed.

The extension has updated to Oct 9. But the version number is the same as Oct 1 (2.11.104.0) ?

Kaspersky itself wants to install an old extension. I just wish they would fix this issue. Meanwhile I'll keep using yours.
