@kailyn

Let me be more clear.

First of all, I am 46 and had been using Firefox from the very early days after the transition from Netscape, so my comments are not 'ageist' , I am a dinosaur comparing to most users in this forum myself. And I have a life and better things to do than getting upset with comments from fanboys. If anyone is getting triggered by someone's web browser choice then something is wrong and they would need to re-evaluate their life's priorities.

Personal opinion : If someone needs a user agent switcher to properly use their browser across websites, then they must either be greybeards with nostalgia or privacy geek fanatics. As for me, I'd rather use something with zero compatibility issues and get on with my life. And once you learn a thing or two on how tracking works, privacy does not exist, it's a lost cause.

The 'fading into oblivion' is not an opinion. It is hard facts and data:

Whether we like it or not, Chromium is the default. I have been watching this for too long to care anymore.

Edit: We are getting off-topic here, apologies.

Now I understand. No offense meant. You seemed upset but you are not. It does not help that you aren't sitting right in front of us having an in-person conversation.

I do not care about privacy. I am not in that group of people that chooses everything from the device to the OS to every application and then adds 27 browser extensions for privacy. Next they add VPN and then run VPN through Tor. To me, that kind of behavior is bat s h i t crazy. I'd rather they just line all the walls with tinfoil paper and keep "Conspiracy Theory" on a non-stop 24 hour loop that resets at 0:01 AM.

Firefox is just a tool. Should uBO Lite or Adguard not be able to solve their problems, then I'd give Firefox with uBO a test drive. In fact, IIRC Gorhill stated that he optimized uBO Mv2 for Firefox. Is that not correct @oldschool ?

Right now Adguard is still struggling with Mv3. Gorhill just mentions it - that it is a "work in-progress" which, in Gorhill speak, means expect problems.

Maybe I'd give Waterfox a spin. I used it, seems eons ago. Did not realize it is still alive.

I'd say IE is dead. And that is only because Microsoft EOL'd it. However, a little known fact is that there are still millions of organizations out there still using IE. They refuse to change.

I just wish big tech platforms would stop doing dum b s h ee t that messes with my online Zen.

Tried ublock lite on firefox today and it seems to be improved alot lately, it completely blocks ads on ad feasted site including annoyances ( i enabled the filterlists tho)

If you dont use medium mode of ublock origin or use zipper to block elements i would go with the ublock lite from now.

Is there anything that im missing? Or should i pair ublock lite with some other extension ( that would increase cpu usage thought depending on extension of course)

Why, when you have built-in adblocking? :unsure:
Yep, I have that set, too. Maybe I should try disabling uBlock and see how Brave's onboard version works? Do you think having both enabled is overkill and will cause webpage issues? That's why I "only" have it set for Optimal.

Edit: You're right. Having Brave set to Aggressive and uBlock disabled, blocks the banner ads from this site (work site that easily helps me to see what block settings are working or not)
