Hot Take uBlock Stripped - Dynamic Filtering is available on the webstore

Thread details
Or did you ask whether the it is possible to hide ad place holders , YES your wrapper rule is the correct rule to select with Element picker
Then something is not working -- my side -- because the ad is gone -- the place holder remains.
Edit
Okay...my bad -- place holder needed more rules

Pushed version 9.40 to the Chrome Westore
Your extension is eminently suited for use with UG Chromium. (y)(y)
This is crazy, UBS published within 15 minutes after uploading (the time it took to write above post) (y)
You are now "trusted" or at least getting close to that designation. ;)

Not crazy about new version of this setting: "Clear history, cookies and cache at browser start (excluding passwords and site setting)". I much prefer history deletion only.
Okay, noted but you can disable it. I added all last usability/ease of use features (saving restoring all settings) and won´t be adding protections either so from now on it will be bug solving I guess. Cookies are the oldest form of user tracking (with infinite application date), also stale (cached) data can (rarely) cause websites to act funny. Why do you don't like them removed?

Version 9.4.5
Two remarks.
1. The description of Privacy & Security isn't consistent.
Privacy and security.jpg
2. I should delete all three options and refer in the explanation at the top of 'Automatically enable ....' to Privacy & Security tab. F.i.: 'On the Privacy & Security tab extra protections are enabled at default. They can be disabled. Also you can enable some more protections.'
So you can also simplify the Privacy & Security tab.

Yes that is true, but offering these choices in two layers should be easier to understand

This way is called gated conditional. In the Worry free they are gated (do you want to enable this group when this context/situation applies) and on the Privacy & Security panel you can enable or disable them. This two step approach should make it easier to oversee the consequences.

But that is all theory, when people disagree (users of uBol-Stripped are problably smarter than users of other adblockers ;)), I will use the flat sequence you proposed.

Will check on consistancy (Privacy & Security) thanks for reporting.

Haha, not for me. Perhaps because I'm not left handed. ;) Worry free in my eyes does mean don't show at first sight many options, I have to investigate. Real worry free also means browsing with as least as possible customizable extra's. I don't want to worry which options I should disable or enable.

Edited: IMO worry free browsing should offer at default optimally settings with minimal risk of breaking sites. The more possibilities to customize, the more this optimum waters down. Especially when users uncheck many options.
3P-M is an example how it should be.

@JW the default has changed it is a safe default (only Worry-Free at startup is disabled when I recal right, all others enabled)
This wasn't exactly what I meant. As I explained before, in worry free mode shouldn't nearly all settings be optional.

Edited: A mode where all settings are optional, I would call Advanced mode.

@Morro,

With these rules buienradar.nl seems fully functional

@Morro @oldschool @Jan Willy

uMatrix had recipes in the past. A place where users could share rules (blocking 3P with allow rules). When I make the export function also search box aware, it would be easy to share recipes for websites (like JW did to strip buienradar.nl for Morro)

I could open a new Github Repo and allow users with a Github account to post recipes. I could add folders per generic TLD and country code.

What do you think of that community driven model, we could try it out on Malware Tips first (creating a thread called UBS Custom Rules Recipes.
