Perhaps the issue started with some random downloading that my sibling did on my PC. And since then the above 2 symptoms are appearing irrespective of browser. I have tried RESETting the browsers but to no avail. Also as I already see a solution to this problem in your forum which gave me a sigh of relief, I am hopeful that the issue would be resolved for me too.

Thanks

Please download Zemana AntiMalware and save it to your Desktop.
  • Install the program and once the installation is complete it will start automatically.
  • Without changing any options, press Scan to begin.
  • After the short scan is finished, if threats are detected press Next to remove them.
Note: If restart is required to finish the cleaning process, you should click Reboot. If reboot isn't required, please restart your computer manually.
  • Open Zemana AntiMalware again.
  • Click on
    4zu6vb.jpg
icon and double click the latest report.
  • Now click File > Save As and choose your Desktop before pressing Save.
  • The only left thing is to attach saved report in your next message.

The unnamed search bar has definitely disappeared. Thank you.

However I could find the second symptom, though with much less frequency, still persisting, i.e. on very few occasions, the whole webpage seems to be an invisible link so no matter where I click, a new tab opens up (different each time) and only after that the actual links on concerned site begins working.

The issue is not recurring now. Not on other browsers too. Those few may be a genuine cases of ad redirection on sites I visit frequently.

Anyways, it's working perfectly fine now.
I truly appreciate your efforts and time to resolve the issue. Thanks a lot.
